About This Site

Labrador Retriever Guides is written from a real home with three real Labradors: Skye, Ziva, and Kelsey. Between the three of them there’s a good spread of ages, temperaments, and quirks under one roof, and that’s where most of what ends up on this site actually comes from: daily walks, vet visits, training sessions that went well and ones that didn’t, and a lot of trial and error.

This isn’t a large editorial team or a syndicated pet-care franchise. It’s one household’s ongoing, hands-on experience with the breed, written up so other Labrador owners don’t have to learn everything the hard way.

Here, you’ll find articles about:

None of this replaces a vet or a qualified trainer, and articles that touch on health always say so where it matters. What it can offer is a genuinely lived-in perspective: what actually works across three different Labrador personalities, what’s worth worrying about, and what usually isn’t.

Meet the Dogs

Skye, Ziva, and Kelsey aren’t bylined authors, but they’re the reason this site exists. Their day-to-day habits, health quirks, and training wins (and setbacks) shape most of what gets written here, from puppy schedules to senior care.

Why This Blog Exists

Good dog advice shouldn’t be hard to find, but a lot of what’s online is generic, or clearly written by someone who has never actually owned the breed. This site exists to put real, hands-on experience with Labradors specifically into a format other owners can use.
